OK let’s get started. This next video explains how to load a CAD file into PowerShape. We’ll then use the Solid Doctor to find and fix faults that are often seen with models imported from other systems.
Great, so you’ve fixed the model, but it’s not really ready for manufacture yet. Let’s see how to use Direct Modeling to add draft to some features to ensure they can be molded and make some other changes to prepare for CAM programming.
OK, the part is now ready for manufacture. Let’s continue by splitting it into core and cavity halves using “levels” to help with model management.
